Special Kitties

Please consider giving one of these Special Kitties a new home!

NOTE: We also need loving families who will open their home to our Feline Leukemia Positive kitties. You can either foster them or adopt them. Please call for details. And visit the FeLV link at the bottom of this page to learn more about Feline Leukemia.

Sam is a wonderful cat. He is very mellow and loving. He is absolutely gorgeous with big blue eyes that you just cannot resist. Because Sam has tested positive for feline leukemia, he needs to find a home with very special people where he can be the only cat. Or … alternatively he could live in a home with other leukemia positive cats. Sam is approximately 2 to 3 years old. If you can give Sam a home, please email Wade at whpyle1@MSN.com; or call him at 503-581-1913. Sam needs to find a home soon, because he cannot stay where he is now.

Effie is a gorgeous gray & white 7 year old with long hair. She is a very sweet, mellow cat. She loves people and loves to be petted, or just be near you. She has a gorgeous coat of soft silky fine hair. Effie’s previous companion had to go into a nursing home, so Effie is now without her companion, and the home she lived in for seven years. She would be great in a quiet home, as that is what she is used to. Effie has tested negative for feline aids and leukemia. She has been treated for fleas and worms and she has been spayed and microchipped.
please call 503 362-5611 if you are interested in meeting Effie.

It was dark and cold in that plastic box someone put us in and drove us far from home and left us. -- Hi, I'm Tequilla, and this is my brother, Cuervo. We are what the humans call wobblers. You see, our mommy probably had distemper, so that interfered with the development of our cerebellum and as a result the part of our brain that deals with balance and motor skills never fully developed. We walk like you would if you had too much to drink at happy-hour. Other than that, we are extremely loving and want to be near you. We are very healthy! We would like to find an understanding and loving caretaker who won't dump us ever again. Click HREE to read more about CEREBELLAR HYPOPLASIA in cats.
We are in foster care but if you are interested in meeting us to adopt us, please call 503 362-5611 or 503 930-4143.

Purdy (a.k.a. "Pretty Boy") is a wonderful cat. Sadly, he tested positive for F.I.V.. Purdy needs to be placed in a quiet home without children. Purdy is very affectionate and likes petting: he doesn't particularly like to be picked up though. He is also quite the lover on his terms and purrs a lot. Purdy is a neutered domestic short haired Brown/Black Tabby w/white. He is approximately 3 years old.
please call 503 362-5611 if you are interested in meeting Purdy.

Snapper has had a hard life. His mom went into a nursing home, and was given to someone who did not care for him. They said he was mean (which he isn't) and denied him medical care for a broken leg and several large abscesses. A neighbor took pity on him and got him fixed up, only to find that he tested positive for FIV. Snapper loves to sleep on your lap for as long as you want to watch TV. He is affectionate and kind. He gets along with all other cats. Snapper is about 8 to 10 years old.
please if you are interested in meeting Snapper.
